The S.I.T. System includes the possibility of obtaining detailed information for public transport lines that directly link any two points within the Autonomous Community of Madrid. Interurban Buses, Metro and RENFE Suburban Train Lines are included.

For the time being, the solution between any two points within the Autnomous Community of Madrid which requires a transfer is not available for interurban buses.

On the following pages, the System will ask you to specify origin and destination information in order to start the search. At any time, you can go back to correct a mistake or, alternatively, to do a new search based on different criteria.

The starting point and destination are specified by selecting a Municipality or an Urban Entity (Housing Development, Industrial Estate, etc.) The user must enter the first letters of the desired starting point/ destination, and a list appears on screen from which one can make a selection.

If a prior inquiry has been made during the same session, the previously specified starting point and destination are retrieved in the new inquiry.

In the event that it is not possible to find a solution, the text: "The System has not found any line directly linking the requested municipalities/entities" will be displayed on the screen.

After the starting point and destination have been specified, the calculation will be made by pressing , and those lines which meet the conditions requested are displayed on the screen.

After a line has been selected, it is possible to view it's scheme:
